## Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead iOS Developer + Node.js Engineer with strong expertise in native iOS development and backend API engineering. The role combines advanced mobile application development with scalable Node.js services, healthcare data handling, secure integrations, and enterprise cloud infrastructure.
The engineer will build high-performance iOS applications and backend services while addressing healthcare compliance requirements, offline data synchronization, observability, authentication, containerization, and production reliability. The role also includes technical mentoring and ownership of engineering standards.
## Key Responsibilities
- Build advanced iOS applications using Swift, Objective-C, UIKit, Core Data, and Core Animation.
- Integrate mobile applications with APIs and third-party libraries.
- Develop applications that appropriately handle HIPAA, PHI, and PII requirements.
- Design for application performance, scalability, testing, debugging, and platform upgrades.
- Implement offline synchronization using Couchbase and MongoDB technologies.
- Apply MVVM and MVVM-C application architecture patterns.
- Develop scalable Node.js APIs using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Build REST, GraphQL, and webhook-based integrations.
- Implement observability and production monitoring for backend services.
- Work with Couchbase, MongoDB, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, and Anthos.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2 and SSO.
- Establish coding standards, mentor engineers, and support technical delivery.
## What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of iOS development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Swift, Objective-C, UIKit, Core Data, and Core Animation.
- Experience developing healthcare applications and working with HIPAA requirements.
- 6+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Strong experience with NoSQL technologies, API design, Kafka, GCP, Anthos, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with secure data handling and authentication using OAuth2 and SSO.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing, and production-quality software delivery.
- Ability to lead technical implementation, establish engineering standards, and mentor developers.
## Preferred & Bonus Experience
- Experience with Couchbase or MongoDB offline synchronization.
- Experience with HL7/FHIR healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, observability, and MVVM/MVVM-C.
- Exposure to Java, .NET, relational databases, and automation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
