## Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to develop, enhance, and support SAP solutions within an S/4HANA environment. The role focuses on modern ABAP development, RAP-based applications, CDS-based data models, OData V4 services, and Clean Core principles. The developer will partner with functional and business teams to deliver scalable, cloud-ready SAP solutions while maintaining technical quality across development and production environments.
## Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance SAP applications using ABAP, ABAP OO, and RAP.
- Build CDS views, RAP business objects, behavior definitions, and OData V4 services.
- Design and maintain S/4HANA applications using HANA-optimized data models and performance techniques.
- Apply SAP Clean Core and modern extensibility practices, including appropriate side-by-side extension approaches.
- Develop enhancements using BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, and user exits where required.
- Support integrations between SAP and internal or external applications through APIs and middleware.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established technical development standards.
- Prepare technical documentation covering solution designs, development objects, and system configurations.
## What We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP and ABAP OO development.
- Proven experience developing with SAP RAP, including managed and unmanaged scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of CDS, behavior definitions, RAP business objects, and OData V4.
- Practical experience developing applications in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience with CDS, AMDP, HANA views, and HANA-optimized development.
- Good understanding of SAP Clean Core, side-by-side extensibility, and minimizing modifications to the SAP core.
- Hands-on experience with enhancements, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, and user exits.
- Strong debugging and SAP integration experience.
- U.S. Citizenship due to potential access to export-controlled information or facilities subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
## Preferred & Bonus Experience
- Experience with Web Dynpro ABAP and SAP BTP side-by-side extension development.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5.
- Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and other SAP integration technologies.
- Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
- Familiarity with MRP, Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, or defense contract management processes.
- SAP certification in ABAP development and/or S/4HANA.
